How to make:

See the post below about how to make stereo images. These instructions for making the anaglyph are for Photoshop.

1. After taking the pictures and getting them on your computer, open the left image. Then open the right image, select all (Ctrl-A), copy to clipboard (Ctrl-C) and paste it as a new layer into the left image.

2. Select the left layer. This is the "red" layer. Go to Image -> Adjustments -> Levels. In the dropdown, pick the "Green" channel and change the output level (was 0-255) to be 0 (0-0).

3. With the levels dialog still open, pick the "Blue" channel and set the output to 0. The image should be entirely red.

4. Now pick the top (right) level. This is the "Cyan" level. Use the Levels dialog (explained above) and remove all the red. (Set Red channel output to 0-0).

5. Make sure the red layer (left eye) is on top. Change the layer blending mode to "Screen".

6. Use the "move" tool to position the red layer so that the part that was the point of interest/focus has both layers aligned at that point. Many other places in the image won't line up. That's OK, because that's what make it 3D!

You're done. Save it as a JPG and post it to Flickr.
